Tension

By Disassembly Boy

you pull the strings
from side to side
you pull them
until i confide;
till i face the sky
and I'm looking straight up
and back into your eyes.
reminiscing in all our lies.
the sweet goodbyes..
and all the times you failed
but said you'd try..
you promised me that we would die
together
in this fire
we would burn forever;
Just you and me
and the wretched screams.
We drown our memories
inside of dreams.
oh, the truth bleeds redder
at the seams
and if you look closer
only then you'll see
the bruise stained skin
and poetry
choking at the throat
and holding me
hostage to your heart
as my jaw drops to the floor
and my arms fall apart
and i can't say no more....
and even if i could,
it wouldn't sound the same..
you'd laugh out loud
as i'd misspell your name..
