Blind

By Sky Singer

You see yourself
As nothing,
An insignificant
Nonentity.
But you are
So much more
Than that

I wish you could
See yourself
Thru my eyes,
Or Jimmy’s,
...Or even Jen’s...
For then you would see
The beautiful you
That you’ve hidden
Deep inside

Jared, baby, I know this depression has you trapped
and you feel like you’re falling in a downward spiral...
but this is where i step in. i’ll be here always
to talk to, to cry to, whatever you need
...you know where to find me...

Love always, Jess

Inadvertanly or not, if you view the poem as a whole, i see tears falling into a bowl. I have no idea if this holds any significance, but it seemed to me that is made this poem just that much more touching than it was when i read it the first of five tim Scholar
