At the gates

By ANGELSLAYER

We stand in the garden
Before the rusted gates
We wait at the walls
To burn the Heavenly Host

We've come to ravage your angels
Behold, I stand at the gates and knock
You gave us the power
We gained the knowledge

You can't hold us back forever

Our knives crave the martyr's blood
The Lamb laid down
By lascivious deeds
The apostle's heads
Will adorn our pikes
We're marching through
In the name of the beast

Turn the other cheek
And I'll smite that one too
I glory in my sin
I'll cast the first stone

The streets are paved in gold
They'll soon run with blood

The sword falls
Ties are severed
The throne crumbles
A crown of thorns made chains

The spear digs deeper and deeper
No mercy
A god of love is cast down

All knowing
Did you see this end coming

The truth of this rains down on the reader as the blood rains down on the angels. Fun to read, thanks for writing and sharing it. Scholar
