True Light (The Real Darkness)

Darkness is the true light in this world,
For when darkness surrounds us,
There is no light to see with our eyes,
But only with that light of our souls and mind.
And it is with this light of the darkness,
That we see who people truly are,
Not their clothes or hair, looks or even money.
In the darkness you see what really counts,
A person's personality, their hopes dreams, fears, and beliefs.
The light of the dark lets us see all these things.
So when I turn out the light,
Don't be afraid,
I just want to see the you inside,
The you the darkness portrays
