Blue Methadone Cosmo... An Artist On Stage...

By Bella Butchery

*sits on his stool, the harpsichord stares blankley… fingers like ivory bones, audience in awe*

“….ahem…”

WHAT IS LOVE? This dream you spoke of?
Is it blood and chemicals?
Or endless carrousels
Trapped in abandoned hospitals?

“Ladies and gentlemen… prepare for decomposition”

“DEAR GOD!
WHERE IS MY DESPERATION
SPUN FROM LACK
OF SELF-RELIZATION!”

But the noose locks a truce
And love fits like a glove
Lest the darkness takes me
Ill keep screaming
“IM NOT SORRY
IM NOT SORRY!”

….In a glass my heart beats to the metronome….
…..smoke filled slow and filtered blue methadone….

So let the shooting start, because I cant help myself
And let the bullets rip us apart, leave me like everyone else

Ladies and gentlemen, is this wrong?
Feels so wrong…
I want to be a chauvinist of male proportions
But she dances so liquid
“I WANT TO RIP THOSE WINGS FROM THEIR SOCKETS!
I want her to inspire, I want her to bleed art…”
Is this wrong?
Felt so wrong…

Handheld syllables “this is spoken word with a blistered tongue”

*desires are racing, mind being lured
My face still slamming on the harpsichord*

broken lung resperator
help me to breath
i cant go on...
the show must go on....

Time escapes in a vacancy
The answer so magnanimous
And sparks a gentle complacency

OoOoOo Like crystallized thoughts in luminous bubbles OoOoOo

Let the bass take me away…
In a nod
Methadone in a haunt
Towards the crowd a gentle sway…

And the curtains lift… to the chorus riffs
As he sings songs about goodbye

And take a bow… if they allow
Until the cheers let you fly

On blue ocean spray away from this place...
Ill float in a liquor bottle towards the blaze…

“This is all I desire,
Drowned in blue methadone and
The harpsichord setting my heart on fire…”

I'm very late to this impressive comment tower, and all the best compliments have been taken. So, sure, I'll echo them, but just to be contrary I'll also don my Pedant Hat, and point out that 'realization' is missing its 'A'. That's how good this is: I ca

this left me with a melancholic aftertaste of sugar coated venom.. with a agoraphobic scream stuck somwhere in me, your poetry is barbed, and i am left trying to pry out the traces of shards lingering in my mind..
