Forgotten Lands

By RhymeBound

i come from lands forgotten
by all who walk not there.
what flesh is left is rotten
all bones are blank and bare.

where night is truly endless
in different shades of black.
where ghastly flames of candles
light ways you can't walk back.

where time is an illusion.
where no end is in sight.
where life's brought to conclusion.
where souls are made to blight.

be you a king or beggar
a young lad or a lass,
the dead they walk and stagger
no gender and no class.

coins are just bits of metals
and titles only words
where roses lack their petals
and spring the song of birds.

I agree to this. The whole thing is just lovely. The first and second Stanza's gave me such a vivid picture, I will have to eventually put it on paper so you can see. Thanks a bunch. -Heather-
