Into the Wild
By Thorn
Far from wretched city, the forest spirit is strong as days of yore
We remember those who dared to venture where few have gone before
In ancient land where trees grow tall and savage creatures thrive
The brave awaken inner strength and fight to survive
Weakness!!
Weariness!!
Powerless!!
To the Wilderness!!
Weakness!
The path extends so far ahead
Weariness!
Without a place to rest your head
Powerless!
The might of man a fraying thread
To the Wilderness!
Where these few brave souls are led
In the plain
Upon the hill
Surviving on unyielding will
Confront this challenge
Face this trial
Set out into The Wild!

Jet this is awesome. The way you use words is so fresh and artistic. The savage creatures bit made me laugh, though, but perhaps it's because I know what sorts of creatures you encountered in that savage land. :) Beautiful piece.

If I werent so gosh dern afraid of becoming lost and being forgotten, I might take your advice. As is, I fear the wild...but that's just my opinion. I like the rhyming to this. Excellent. ~*Beth*~
