Falling in the Arms of Silence

By Spiritus_Frumenti

I do not know why I still chase you across this path
As I become more uncertain of my wounds
In this illusion of an ending life
Where no one will ever know
how many times I have fallen

I do not know why I still care to speak from the heart
As I become more quiet with the years
In this dream of a hopeless mind
Where so much truth lies there
Piercing and bleeding my every memory

I do not know why I still wonder about God
As I often wish to come away from my soul
In this vision of an empty sky
Where all the prayers turn into rain
To soak us with our own pain and whispers…

Words washing down walls, their bleeding frames a moment in the mind - a moment of wonder and regret - mixing emotions and thoughts. One of the saddest thoughts I have is a world without you
