Simple Melodies
By Spiritus_Frumenti
The wind is my violin,
Playing gently the notes of my despair
The movements of my thoughts
The rhythmn section of my heart
Echoing far into my soul is life's motif
Reverberating an engulfing sadness without composition
Without lines in which to read or write upon
My spirit dances subtly to the sounds of the past
Memories belonging to something deeper
A song heard only as a distant whisper
Moments residing in a ballad -
that has all eternity to cry
Obscure and within reach,
The music compiled through life seems disharmonic
Lacking structure -
though it feels purposely hurtful...

Your words move me so beautifully.. in this, I am reminded of the sweet and simple glory that can be melancholy.. takes me away.
