"Chirp" motherfucker

By whisperer

voices wake me in the darkness of the early morning broken by a thousand cornered shards of yesterday
i pulled my head from the floor and saw somebody's god laughing at me

silently

and walking away

a hundred times i've said this and you've never seen me pray
speak to me
speak the truth
find another way to clean your eyes

walk your lines

or just push me away

fading
this tide keeps me from shore
in time i'll end up sinkin' to the bottom and walking back won't be a problem

not like all this and more

all your believing in bleeding and the trust you keep in the other side of the mirror keep breaking and shaking underneath all the fear you hold in here

and i'm so sick of listening to your god laugh his way to the rocking chair where he sits and stares and the world around goin round and down...

and i'll tell you

i know he doesn't care

from cricket to roach tailing ghosts in the darkness
all that is not on the spot chokes
looking for hope in the heartless

how can't you be aware
it isn't there
speak to me

i'm always there
