hold me
By Jonas
our words are like the currency
wrinkled and greasy we thumb in our pockets
just to make sure it hasn't been lost
some universal denomination of value
that we fool ourselves into believing can bring under one roof the entire
family of our needs and desires
and have them sit and enjoy a civil
thanksgiving dinner without a contrary word tossed around all night
=
ritual masks
diamond studded flasks
filled
and the little things that let us believe or forget to
that there is nothing
nothing that can truly moor us to another

everytime I read something of yours I am amazed. My apologies for the crappy comments, but you astound me, and I'm actually at a loss for words.
