Preternatural Love

By wandering druid

Relinquished from this conscience
To never breathe with fear of
right or wrong
An innocence from the lack of need
of illusions
Rise I now to take my vows
In the Lunar Goddess's song..

Heart by side of fire unleashed
The pallor of her who
Smites the sun with valour
An eternity with
Sanguine freedoms
By Immortality bequeathed

I stalk the Shadows of Society abroad
Eclipsing listless whisps on highways
that I waltz upon
Seduce the succulent, shamelessly consumed by lust
Laugh with homour, then in cruelty as I betay their trust

Live out the centuries in flaming night
Burn up in blood-red fire if I touch the spiteful Light
Avoiding the wicked sun on my skin of marble white
Dancing through eternity, suckling on humanity
An entrancing parasite

And how else could I show
The extent of my love
Than to send them unto
Their fabled Heaven above?
And to impart to them
Sensual truths of
A cold marbled hand
In a red velvet glove

And to take them unto me
So innocently sweet
Kill them off softly
Lovingly discreet
Incurring upon them
Mortal wounds of delight
When breath doth run out
I shed tears despite
My greatest efforts
Lonely brine reflects prismatic light

In blacks, dark wines, and reds I dress
Readying myself for tender prey
Soft caresses and midnight pleasures
My ideas for foreplay
For they writhe in ecstasy
As my fangs pierce sibilantly in
Tranmutation into life
For a night of sighs and fragrant skin

  • A former member wrote: "for a night of sighs and fragrant skin"...until they die, perhaps. There is a coldness about vampire mentality matched with sensual warmth in this that I haven't seen before, so kudos!
