Penumbra

By abattoir

inverse to the fact of doom

I can't hide more than you make it possible

sitting here in another room

futher than just down the hall

not even interested in the separation

energy pours from under the door

to company you with even the thought

why I'm sitting here in a drawer

occupied in this lagoon by you

in hope they'll be a tide

to pull me again into the blue

close to the stranger I still call mine

addicted to the warmth that drew

my heart to enact this crime

caught in a contract whose sentence I knew

once was all, I took the line

pensive drinking up the senses

kept and wore and carefully folded

labeled and loved and branded with kiss

I have fit into what you have molded
