It’s dark and I’m sinking farther then I’ve ever gone before. Silently drifting and enjoying this cold numb feeling that makes me tingle down to my toes…
I can hear them, but I can’t see them. I can feel them, but I can’t touch them. I know they’re here, they know I’m here too. They wonder what happened, and what they should do. Someone has a phone, they’re making the call. Someone made the call, please let me finish my fall. They’re moving me, destroying my wonderful flight. Opening my eyes, making me look into their light. Please stop them, the light is so bright! It’s illuminating my fears, but I will not shed my tears. I fought so hard to keep them inside. I worked so hard to keep my tears in day and night. Now they’re betraying me, obtaining their right to be free. My tears don’t know what they do to me. They make me lonely when I’m in a crowd. They have finished their betrayal, and now I can see. There are lots of people staring at me. They think they’ve done me a good dead. The doctors think they’ve changed the life I could and would leave. I lost again, the doctors’ on a roll. I’m alive for another day in this world where death seems like a happy alternative, even though it is so cruel.
