I Need a Home

By wandering druid

I just want to go home
But what is a home?
I'm tired of walking on
When i'm so alone
If home is a place
where affection has grown
Then home is a place
That I've never known

Time and again
I wished for an end
To this pain that through
My broken heart rends
Life is what it seems
With the pain that it sends
Wounds take up reams
And dry out the pens

Why are we cursed
again and again
To walk on
hand-in-hand
When our souls disperse
Like shifting sand
Farther and farther
Away...

I just need a home
So I won't have to roam
in bitterness on the streets
of broken souls
I need a place where
I won't be alone
Where I won't be so scared
And peace can be sown

Now I understand why you wrote what you did on my poem. Sometimes i've had the same thoughts, but you were capable of putting it into words when I couldn't. Bravo.
