The One Whom "God" Forgot

By manunkind

he groans aloud
and wonders why....
why has his god forsaken him?
in these few hours
we are one,
he and i.
both sacrificed and drilled
with nine inch nails.
oh! shame! oh! torture!
my sappy blood is long spent,
though his is enough for two
he wears a crown,
the thorny grand daughter of a friend.
he calls out!
oh, mercy! great lord god!
but i know what he does not.
why has yahweh forsaken him?
he cries, again! again!
but he is not forsaken.
it is HIS name my daughter hears
as she is decked at christmas time
and not my own.
he steals the show
though he was
as grossly human as they come
my groans were ignored, undocumented
though my image remembered
and besmirched
i wasnt even allowed the pleasure of
restful death!
my cuticle flesh dried
and sat, withering in the sun
until i was hauled away
and they set a kindle to my bones
i turned to ash
and tainted dust
the wind took me...
and i covered the graves of his sons
i nurtured the fields
that were tilled by his royal line
until..
i became the fields.
harvest came-
i was eaten at the feast of his remembrance!
and then...
i became one with his blood again

Brilliant, the conclusion really pulls the story together and expounds a wonderful idea...
