Starbucks Killed My Soul

By Liath

So there you go, your fists are up
Fighting me again.
We both stand tall, afraid to fall
Losing all that we have found,
We bloody the ground.

Tangled again, a fickle game;
Killing myself.
I'll take it all, you make the call.
Skiddish, your flame
Will cast shadows on our game.

Don't think that this was easy, no
I'd tear my heart out, yea
If only it was there
You'll always be the mark on my arms
These are the veins in which I love you
Open and spilling onto my legs
You tell me with actions
That my love is worth less than the dregs
That stick to the bottom
Of your Starbucks coffee cup.
