The Pool

By Gideon Lost

The storm is passed
And from all the tumultuous clouds I have been set free
My flight begins from your lips
I am called back to earth
A dance of a thousand million drops
Of a thousand million storms
Come to wash you
To baptize you anew

Yes I am from above
Your brother to be sure
Have you forgotten my name?
Brother, have you forgotten from whence we came?
Be with me
I am here, I am here

I cascade into this life catching every glimmer of light
Amplifying all around me
I am reborn in my flight
That is my gift.
A dance of light. A shower of glory
I am water and those who come to me
Stare unto them selves. Yes they are my glimmer.
The glint in my eyes that glows so intensely
So brilliantly, is their own

I had been banished from this world
Long, long ago
Have I served my sentence?
Have I done my penance?
And now reincarnated but to what end?
The Duty to be sure
The cause I so faithfully serve
Why this world? Why this life?
Who calls my name?
Who wishes to stare into my pool
Who has called the flood?
Lamenting “is it you? Is it you?”

Come my friend
Sit and be with me
Wash away your tears with my own
Your songs of wonder have called to me
And resonated over me like a cool breeze
“Transform your involuntary sighs into powerful sobs of joy.”
Cry out and let your soul be heard
Invisibility is painful. Be seen!
Invisibility is lonely. Be heard!
And be not ashamed of the reflection you see
And be not ashamed of who may hear your song
Few will march to your beat
Fewer still will know the words
Know that you are a beautiful song just the same

And you wonder, “is it you? Is it you?”
I can say this: The one you wait for,
He or She is before you always
You have seen Him in your friends
You have seen Her in your loved ones
And you will meet the One every day of every life
Most importantly remember to find Him in yourself

I am a companion.
To take with you for a lifetime
In your heart and in your mind
As we have walked hand in hand before
Across many landscapes in many different times
A playmate to be thankful for
A brother
I am the Happy Phantom
Come, and dance with me
For I have missed you
Though our time is short
Know that I am always with you
In every pool
In every glass
In every shower
I am there
Caressing you
Washing you
Nurturing you
Making you new
In every pond
In every puddle
And in the spittle on your lips
I am with you, taste me

And if I seem to evaporate
In the bright sun of long summer days
When the storms have passed
And clear skies are above
When you play with other companions
Know that I am there with you
Invisible
I am the moist air that you breathe
For there is from whence I came
From inside you
That is where I live
And if you miss me
Look to water. Think of me and I am there.
Always.

Ya know Ani, the funny thing is, this is the First Poem I wrote. This is the "Akasha" of my poetry. From this one poem all else flowed.
