Talons of a dream
Grip me by my soul
A dream of love that's true
Two people joined by more than hands or lips
A connection deeper than the heart
Two spirits unite and become one
Not just a lover but a friend
When moods are not questioned
Simply understood
Conversations occur
Without the use of words
Thoughts conveyed
Through connection of the eyes
Anger calmed
Depression eased
Sadness lessened
Tears dried
Worries set free
Smiles awakened
By the magic contained
In the voice of that one person
Feeling the pain of the other
Or the fleeting moments of joy
All emotions shared
No secrets kept
Once it is found
Not time
Not separation
Not lonliness
Or distance
Can loosen the grip
Or set me free
From these talons of a dream.
