Undulating Streams

By Spiritus_Frumenti

So far, in funerals,
Reflections lost and tender
Collapse continually in beauty
Stealing God of His essence
Now that angels have learned to weep

I always knew, one day, the skies would open
Not to take us, but to witness Heaven break away
To witness palaces sink into the oceans

Quite distant,
Seams of a hidden nature precipitate remnants of lost dreams,
Of truths within souls far too sad to understand

May I ask, who will know that you have remembered?
By chance, will destiny feel sympathy for abandoning a man?
Or will he be left to wonder....

...for so long,
Penitence has been my sincerity
Dedicated to the epiphanies of failure
A most forlorn diffidence has crippled my senses,
My will of existence
And for this, again,
I am sorry

Marvellous final stanza; quietly heartrending. "Penitence has been my sincerity" is excellently expressed in particular. Wonderful write.

Rarely does an artist such as you continue along such veins of gold but it is as if you are poetry incarnate and the words spill from your mind, lost of all dross, sparkling with the eloquence that men can only dream of...

Rich, almost convoluted language. The first and last lines come as a bit (or bits) of a surprise.
