If Things Were Different...

If things were different,
my dreams would be................

To have you by my side
Drawing strength from your heart
Basking in your radiance

To share your bed
Feeling the warmth of your breath
against my skin
as dreams of you dance
through my mind

To kiss you
Your lips
so I can taste your breath
Your neck
so I can give you chills
Your breasts
so I can make you shiver
And everywhere else
just to taste you

To explore your body
With eyes shut and eager hands
A blind man searching for heaven
Which he knows is right under his touch
Learning the contours of your body
Mapping mentally for future excursions
Touching, feeling, caressing
From head to toe
and all spots in between

To have and to hold you
Love you eternal
Share your dreams and aspirations
Help you when needed
Console your sorrow
Wipe away your tears
Kiss away the pain
Cherish your sweetness
Thrive in your beauty

But dreams are not needed
for what's most important......
To be your friend
