The Taste of Salt

By Syn

Breathing in...
salty air
to touch me
burns within
forsaken sin

forbidden

calm me
refree me
caught

trapped inside your glory
trying
lying
all a moment of pleading

call me
calm me
claim me

but will you ever?
im nothing to treasure
nothing to hold
but behold...

in the depths you find life
in me you lose yourself
merry daydream breaking
forsaking me
incessant gluttony

excellent write that i'm sorry to have missed! Until now, anyway. The concluding stanza is fantastic; I could reread this several times...and sort of already have... Love it. Wonderful work!
