Abandon
By Syn
Tiny drops fall on my skin
and savor each pain I hold within
they draw them through each tiny pore
and leave me empty, with nothing more
Tiny drops fall on my lips
forgiving those that have been kissed
they seep into yet leave them dry
and take each ounce of empty pride
Tiny drops fall from my eyes
and strip away my false disguise
they tear away this grand facade
and leave me bare before each one Ive fought
Tiny drops soon disappear
and cloud my mind that once was clear
they break me down and hold within
the life once loved that has been spent
