Not Now (If Only To Save You)

By Syn

If I could keep you here I would
kiss the morning, savor the day
that traps me - calculating and cold

My soul devoid of intention or hate
a heart now beatless, unmoving with
every breath as I contemplate

My skin grown old, plastic and stiff
untouched to seen fit destiny
every thought an overwhelming challenge

...Id keep you with me...

Id breathe my life into you
to save you
but my breath only rapes you

I'll never give up hope on you...on us
but the time is not now.
I need to save myself - Im drowning
Im nothing for you now...
But as I find myself - Im yours
Today is not ours...But one day - it will be.
