Momma

By liquid_emotion

I often sit
with my mother and talk
as the sun melts
into the sea

Soon the moon will shine
on our porch
while wooden chimes
echo hollow music
carried by the wind

But we will continue talking
long after words cease
Because family is not chosen
but frienships are

This is poem is one of my favorites. I have always believed that finding friendship with a family member is one of the rarest gifts life has to offer. I have not, though, ever articulated the thought so beautifully.

Good stuff. I like, nothing is better to have around than family, especially if you're that close with the. Good job. Later.
