Dear Daddy

By rondant

I never got the chance to know who you really are

I never got the chance to take our relationship very far

I said goodbye before I ever said hello

Instead of holding on to your hand, I just let go

I said goodbye with no tears on my face

No matter how I said it, nothing will ever take your place

I have to letbyou go now because the story is through

But I'll spend the rest of my life saying goodbye to you.

I know how that is to lose someone so close to you without being able to say goodbye. That hurts so much.
