This Mortal Coil

By Fourknaz

In mist she sheathed me
Me with her blade standing guard
The purity encompassed the air
My closed eyes
My open soul

Open to embrace
The end of that road
That wound it's coils in my dreams
For so long, the vividness irked me
A stark reality that deceived me at times
A tear in reality
Transcending at times between the lines

They can be blurred at times
When the lightning splinters
Leaving everlasting trails of searing white
In darkness there is a calm
To settle the waters and to rest the anchor

I've thought of the eternal rest
It doesn't bode well at times
It's cold, and cold can be numbing
Cringing in that fetal ball of flesh

Decadence can dance with me
If give her a whirl
I can't join her at this point
Too many doors
That need to be opened

I feel I understand this. Tell me if I'm off, but it reminds me of my feelings where I don't mind death or dying, or taking part in either, but I would prefer not to at the moment, I have better things to do. Good day.
