a napkin scrap
By Jonas
my youth walks blindly into devotion
caressing the soft skin of frail security
never knowing
or wanting to learn to let go
i whisper quietly on the streets
of familiarity
and i hold you close
west toward the setting sun
my future engages that which only god knows
as you hold me still
i never want to let you go
because i know we all follow
the sun to the west as it falls
over the brink of the horizon

Ah, I almost stumbled right past this, and what a disappointment that would have been. This gently sliced its path through my mind for a softly rolling journey that ended all too soon. ~ wen

The title of this drove its intricate lines deeply impacted inside. This is generally flawless, and it breathes in like air.

"caressing the soft skin of frail security" that was a perfect line.. I love that especially. I had to read this a couple times, let it seep in.. it's like, acknowledging and embracing the unknown. Nice work I like it.
