Shadows
By darkness_descends
I sit in my room lit only by a small flame.
Sighing, crying, and dying from pain.
In the orange light there's dancing shadows,
When the light's gone where do they go?
All of a sudded a chilling wind fills my basement room.
Killing the flame, bringing along darkness and gloom.
I feel an eerie tense,
And an unworldly presence.
The flame comes back on,
Bringing with it dancing shadows of Satan's spawn.
What do they want, what do they see?
Why are they here, do they want me?
I want to leave, I've prayed for death,
I want to leave but just not yet.
On my walls they keep dancing around,
And laughing as I try to scrape myself off the ground.
I was tired of hurting everyday,
And now I've got these shadows that won't go away.

I've contemplated stuff like this all the time, but this is by far the best that I've ever seen it be put into words.
