The Sonnet Of King Talon

By DarkPaladine

Listen my children and listen well, hear my word and
learn the tale.Of king talon mighty is he and of stor
the dragon evil indeed
Talon was a king brave and bold, stor a dragon terrifying
and cold.Talon a great kingdom had he and a queen as
lovely as could be.
Talon's lands streached away to great measure, but his
queen was his greatest treasure. Stor the dragon the
queen he did see and stole her away which was most foul
indeed.
Talon the king brave and bold went with his army to the
dragons hold.Talon and his brave band marched into the
dragons land. There a horror they did see chained by her
wrist to a ironwood tree was the queen.
Talon! said the dragon, come to me be my slave and I will
set her free, for she means nothing to me.
It is you I want and your land come to me and I will give
you back your lady"s hand. Slowly talon left his men while
forming a plan deep down inside of him.
When he came to the ironwood tree and his queen he did
see.His heart froze with fear and his eyes filled with
tears. As he looked apon her face her eyes had been ripped
from there place.
She hung by her wrist from the tree just as lifless as
could be.And stor the dragon laughed with glee. Talon
the brave and bold he died that day his heart gone cold.
And deep down way inside a monster called grief yelled
form deep inside.
The dragon was caught by surprize, from what came form
deep inside.Brave talon he did attack and leaped apon
the dragon's back. Stor spread his wings and took flight
and they both vanished into the pitch black night.
The sky lit up with flashes of light and thunderous
roars could be herd all through the night. So you see
dear children when a storm draws near you really don't have
a thing to fear. For it is just king talon and the dragon
stor carrying on their eternal war.

I really like this sonnet. It's like a folklore with a terrifyingly gory twist.
