Murder In The First Degree

By Zhee

Bound and paralyzed you sit
Numb with glacial fear,
Silent prayers choke the soul
For your god was never there.

Tortured memories wail
For a life now tainted red,
Ravaged, the broken body weeps
For the desecrating dead.

Darkness shrouds your eyes,
The injustice within burns,
“Respect is a word,” says the priest
“Dead men will never learn”

  • A former member wrote: i like the way your works like these are short and yet whole. no need for further elaboration, it says what it does well and without the incessant rambling such as I dwell into. well done.
