dysphoria

By stuart_pid

Wheeling,
reeling,
fighting feelings.
Coming down, it's coming down.
Chasing,
racing,
horror facing.
Coming down, it's coming down.
And all at once it quickly rushes in
from all around you.
Grabbing you to drag you
through the darkness that surrounds you.
Dreading,
fretting,
fiercely sweating.
Coming down, it's coming down.
Waiting,
hating,
nauseating.
Coming down, it's coming down.
And when it catches up with you
the only thing you'll hear
is the subtle sounds of screaming
from the demons of despair.
Sighing,
crying,
vein denying.
Coming down, it's coming down.
Flashing,
smashing,
violent crashing.
Coming down, it's coming down.
Destroying all delusions
of the peace inside your mind.
Exposing almost instantly
the fear from which you hide.
It's coming down to show you
what the hollow darkness holds.
It's coming down and soon
it will be all you'll ever know.
