Because the World Knew

By liquid_emotion

Disenchanted with the world
I stand alone
The empty soul of a being
So far from home
Not knowing why I wander
Or where to go
I drift aimlesly through earth
My life in tow
Some days seem so glorious
As often they are sad
And people seem so wonderful
As often they are bad
But I put it all together
And shatter it like glass
The knowledge that I need to know
Will some day come to pass
Laughter comes so easily
Tears are free to all
Understanding of this world itself
Broken by The Fall
So although I have a hundred friends
At any given time
I feel less alone right now
Sitting to write this rhyme

Know what you mean - I traveled through India, Europe and Britain on my way back from Kabul...so many "friends", so little fellowship. Scholar
