Empty

By SilverPagan

Despair of mind
Physically drained, bloodless
The veins in your arms open
Testimony to your pain
Dry crusted wounds
So like your heart
Empty of blood and life
So like your soul
In the vacant depth of your eyes
I can see life that was there
Before it bacame despair
In the pale twist of your smile
I can see contentment as your
Lifes blood dries to a stain
On the concrete floor
