Shed A Tear

By Mischevious Princess

Shed a tear for the lonely
Shed a tear for the hated
Shed a tear for the love of a friend
Who has been killed.
Shed a tear for the ones you know
And the ones you don't....
Shed a tear for those who die slowly
And those who die instantly before your eyes
Shed a tear for the druggies and the cutters
Shed a tear for those who try to help them,
Shed a tear for those who commit suicide
And their families left behind
Shed a tear for those who don't have anyone
And those who have everyone
Shed a tear for the blind and the seeing
Shed a tear for the child without a mother
And the mother without her child
Shed a tear for humanity.

Very moving... Sometimes I have to remind myself to stop hating the world and empathize a little... Quite refreshing!

Lovely words full of empathy ( and I do she'd a tear, often!) One line got me thinking, in particular' and those who have everyone.' It seemingly kinda contradicts. But then I got to thinking and I made sense of it, because sometimes that is the most tragic, to have all around you but still feel lost and alone. Thanks!
