I Can.... (independent to the max)

By Soulseeker

I can read, I can write,
I was blessed with eye sight.
I can cook, I can provide,
and I have my own ride.
I can love, I can hate,
I can apologize when I am late.
I can talk, I can hear,
I know the difference between water and a tear.
I can walk, I can run,
I can see past the blinding sun.
I can eat, I can sleep alone,
I don't need to hear your voice on the phone.
I can learn, I can fake,
I can return what I take.
I can forgive, or brush it off,
I can find a remedy to my own damn cough.
I can laugh, I can cry,
I can give up, or I can try.
With or without you I will breath,
you can stay or you can leave.
You are here to compliment my life not "make me"
and you can forget the intentions of breaking me.
I really could care less about your help,
Because I can take care of my fucking self!!!
