The Truth Exposed

By mysticventures

To know and understand these principles

Taught by the greatest souls ever to walk the earth

Their very essence, the heart of nearly every faith and religion known to man

And yet, still I remain so far from that beauty, that purity, that truth

That I feel lost in this knowledge

Uncertain as to how to follow the path

Having the very keys in my hand, I've yet to unlock the door

And walk in the light

Though I long to, my very soul yearns to

But I lack the strength of faith, of conviction, of heart

No, not in the principles themselves

For these I know to be true

Tis in my self, that I lack the faith

And in my weakness, my ego stands tall

Oh gladly I would abandon it, but

It's power overwhelms me

And lacking the will to fight, I give in

And thus allow it's possession over me

Thinking, I'll stand and fight another day

And on that day, I'll win

But -

Just not today
