Byproduct Of My Sorrow

By Liath

The pool spreads out
upon this floor
pain no longer holds it's clout
the baseboards are my shore

Into my skin
The blade presses
Releasing my sin
And all of my stresses

Free flowing blood
Free flowing feelings
Soul darkened by sin as dark as mud
Head spinning and heavy from reelings

Wait no it's not
Spinning from reeling
Wow I've bled a lot
I can't stand, now I'm kneeling

My despair
Is a byproduct of my sorrow
Mind beyond repair
And not a tool to borrow
