My World

My World

The clouds parted, sun rays broke through...
My eyes were lifted from the ground, and my spirits were soaring...
Just when I thought my dream had come true...
The word came and I was alone again...

I'm alone in my room, crowded by thoughts...
My reality standing around mocking my mind...
Mocking the dreams of me and you...
Then the word came and I was alone in my head...

I confide my feelings in thy paper, desk, and wrists...
I write in the fluid of thoughts, the same that rushes to a cut...
If the fluid of my thoughts could escape...
I would lie in my own pool of madness...

I'm standing in my own court of condemnation...
Facing the 12 shadows that judge my face...
That set my punishment, the worst this reality can possibly handle...
Then the word came from them, and I was alone...
In my world...
