you have me on my knees
begging
belittling myself
disrespecting myself

i am only at your mercy
following every lead you take
killing myself for you
being killed by you

emotional pain only an afterthought
sacrificing sanity for your time
i try to be myself
but can only be what you need me to be

the sting inside
the burning in my chest
reminds me of the only thing i've ever known
for i have always known only you...only your pain

and i am left alone, when you are done with me
