Guilt and Innocence

By morbiddemonchild

I know what you don't
I see what you wouldn't
Things that creep in the night
Things that you couldn't
I'm sorry for you

In a world that makes sense
You are blind to it
What do you make of this mess?
Show me everything you know
Feel sorry for me

Be all that I see &
All that I don't
Don't question your master
Just do as your told
Quit feeling sorry for yourself

Where are you now?
Find the one who questions Jesus
Hiding in the white forest
Midnight roses sleep under a cresent moon
Feel guilt for the lost you've caused

Open your eyes
Your crimson tears
Show me your lies
Your pathetic fears
Show the guilt you know you have

Living your life
The world passes you by
Behind shadows you hide
Taking every step in stride
The guilt you subside in yourself

I can't tell you how I feel
When your blood stains my hands
Soaks my shirt
Scents the air &
I'm guilty

This knife I hold
While you beg me not to
The wound I reopen
The scream you unleash
You know I'm not guilty

We're looking up at the same night sky
Tears fall until sun rise
Keep the secrets
Rape me, hurt me
The remnence of innocence
