Dear Mr. Principal

By Jenni

Wow, this is great.
Detention
What a great word,
And on a Saturday at that,
Wow, what luck.
And the socializing,
Something I could never do elsewhere.
All the great people
Willing to give up their Saturday.
3, 4, 5, 6 hours,
Just sitting here,
Or sleeping,
When I would be much happier doing this at home.
But its ok,
I get to see all the people I hate,
And on a Saturday,
On one of my two days to get away from them.
Stupid principal
Why do you have to torment me like this?
You know I hate you
And all your followers.
But you like to do this to people,
Make them go to school 6 days a week instead of just 5.
Maybe we'll get smarter?
Learn our lesson?
..well we wont,
we'll just figure out a better way to do things,
to not get caught.
Thats all your teaching us here.
How to be more sneaky,
More secretive,
How to lie better.
So instead of calling you stupid, Mr. Principal,
Which I still think you are,
I just won't say it to your face anymore,
I should be thanking you.
Yup, thats right,
Thanking you
For teaching me things only kids in detention learn,
For making me a better person,
And for the opportunity to learn how to screw you over and not get caught.
: )

hee, funny shit. I wonder... is this social commentary? Is this also what we are teaching people, sending them to prisons. I know for one, if i got busted smoking weed, it wouldn't make me stop!

yeah, when people get into trouble sometimes they learn a lesson and it is to not get caught the next time. I've been through that a few times.

Something tells me if you didn't break the rules, you wouldn't have to go that 6th day of the week.
