Lit cigarette and an everyday influence

By physicalgraffiti

Hot pink nail polish,
dyed chopped hair,
pills in prescpription containers
the label peeling for protection.
cigaretts in pocket,
one in hand,
lit at the bottom,
lipstick red at the top tip.
Gently humming along to grunge rock.
barley pausing to check the words.
takes a picture,
writes a note.
Lays down in bed,
and forgets what she wrote.
holds breath,
nothing left.
Stained Heart.
Broken Spirit.
Give up
shut down
let go
Reads a book, maybe two.
Talks to him,
listens to him drink.
But he's still alive,
and still in love, with her.
So she lights another.
Breathes it in.
Decides she's not alone.
Grins.
