the underground in my mind

By thecitymorgue

along the allys and backstreets,
through dark hallways,
and urine scented stair wells,
amid the musk and muck of living,
there exsist the underground in my mind.

a dark abode,yet lighted.
flickering candle light,
the gathering place of dark souls,
united.
a band of persons of the night,
dancing,singing songs of despire.

and the music they dance to,
the music has no sound.
it is the very feel of the darkness,
the cords of the night,
ripped,sung loud in lust.
a longing satisfied with forbidden seed.
in my mind,
in the underground in my mind.

A great piece. I like this because it gave me a feeling of nostalgia of my younger days regarding hole in the wall concert halls. :)

I too long ago had an insatiable lust @ one point for all things naughty & evil. Hard to capture the feeling, ironic. Captivating, thanks for this.

You paint quite a profound background scenery TCM. Always a sign of a skillful write when most of the senses are employed. Takes the reader along for the ride. Cheers! - Dan
