"After"

By CharlottesWeb

In the twilight of the hour
when life chased the sun
After all has been and gone
who is left in the silence?

When warm bark is chased by dancing frost,
after the lights and colors have torn away,
Who will flee to memory
in the twilight of the hour?

After the grounds are cold and dark
who will walk against a smiles death?
In the twilight of the hour,
when the past can’t kill the loneliness?

Who will it be
in the grip of solitude
When the beat ends
after you’ve forgotten me?

This solemness is warm and embracing. Beautiful, my friend. Your words were gentle and soft to the sharp edge of darkness. :::OLd
