There you are
Starving artist
Won't you give up on your petty dreams
Take up a real ambition?
Get a job, dummy,
Earn a real living
To put food on your mother's table
Don't just sit on your ass and dawdle
And dream of things that will never come to pass
There you are,
You who call me "starving artist"
You haven't a clue where I have been
Or what my words mean to me
Perhaps you are too stupid to realize
The orange clouds and purple stands
That surround my aching temple
But those words are worth more to me
Than half of your fortunes combined
So leave me be,
When you realize that your job is nothing but a shadow
Of what life is really about
Then you can lecture me,
The so-called "Starving Artist"
