I do believe...

By Mute Serenade

I sip day old coffee
Smoke stale cigarrettes
On early mornings.
I bleed frosty dew drops
Trickling down my skin
Numbing
Dulling
I say to myself
"I do believe we are dead"
Your face is frozen
Cemented by indifference
And I wait...
I wait for the warm hush of things being okay
To caress my ear
Thawing
By your breath...
And it never comes.
So I sip day old coffee
Smoke stale cigarrettes
On early mornings.
I bleed on everything
Like wine down my skin
Numbing
Dulling
And I weep to myself
"We are Dead."

This is even better than the first time round I read this...Straight to the heart of break up matter and antimatter. Another thing: COME BACK AND POST AGAIN!! :)

Your chaos is a kiss of the warmest regret ever known...I beckon to the darkness that is my....Home. This piece hits so deep I read it and find I cannot sleep. -Poetic perfection a twisted visage of this broken reflection.

That harsh reality when a couple are no longer a couple...That spark dampened to nothing. So well wrought.
