minus eloquence

By red_haze

i write you in ink,
stain my hands with your name,
callus my fingers
with the effort to unburden.

and sometimes,
i just sit quietly,
wishing i had the words...

but my muse laughs,
and tells me: 'it's but a dream'.

and my hands begin to shake...

it can be a thin line, at times, to differentiate between dream and reality (more so, even, when it is just the dream we would have as our reality).

still, reality is only relative... and it could be argued that, in affecting the creation of such poetry as this, said dreams take on a reality all their own.

Gotta love when the title makes the poem. I like the part about the muse calling it a dream, too. Overall, and as always, excellent work. Feed me more!
