Loves Digress

By nightshade

Like a bird with shattered wings
Never to fly again
I try and lift my head to sing
But am held down by misery and sin
The day slowly fades and turns to night
And darkness slowly caresses your face
Your hair shines as if kissed by the moon
How I wish to hold you tight
Yet you've cause me so much pain
Turning from me and breaking my heart
I've changed and so have you
Yet here I stand reaching out in vain
Never again shall i feel the sweet caress
Of your silken lips upon my skin
Your love is gone and here I am an empty shell
From this point on i digress
