a simple man

By -Oz-

a simple man have i loved
for i have seen the sun rise
and the sun set
all in the same day
but never have i seen anything compare
for he is the eastern sea
and the falling leaves
the snowing sky
and the blooming flowers
he is the petals of a delicate rose
from which a stem will follow
he is the moon
from which the stars obey
for he is my muse
i write for no other

Everyone must have inspiration....a deeply tragic poem, that leaves me to wonder if you will find inspiration elsewhere? There is a fine line between patience and madness....Great work...I truly enjoyed it...-Methos

This is my favorite of yours so far. Simplicity is truly powerful and gorgeous... particularly when tied to images of nature.
